Hello my friends from far and wide. It’s me again, Kelsee. I’ve been in college for over a month now, and I must say that I like it. From me being here it’s just been another confirmation that I’m not like everyone else; I’m weird, different, strange.. whatever you wanna call it, that’s me. Mostly everyone here dresses the same: if you’re a girl, you better be wearing some leggings, a MSU or sorority hoodie over a huge t-shirt, brown boots, and to top it off a watch and/or hat. Now if you’re a boy you must wear your fraternity shirt, some khakis or jeans, a North Face or Patagonia jacket/pullover/hoodie, some Sperry’s or tennis shoes, a Kavu visor, and the little sunglass holder that goes around your neck; Oh, and if you’re feeling a little spiffy on some days then go on ahead and step out on the limb and put on your finest polo shirt. Oh, and I’m really looking forward to when the warmer weather comes and everyone is wearing their nike shorts and chacos!
Okay, so don’t get me wrong, I love my nike shorts, patagonia jacket, and leggings, but I had this on going miniature battle going on inside me for the first week of school on how I wanted to dress. Did I want to conform to the comfy looking lifestyle of over half the girls on campus or did I want to stick to being me and dressing how I usually do? I stuck to being me. Now my little closet is filled to the top with just about every article of clothing I have and my dorm room is staring to look like my room back home with all of my shoes everywhere.
I have tons more I want to blog about, but this one seems long enough as it is already. Sorry, I had to rant a little, and seriously though.. I’m not talking bad about how anyone dresses. It’s your body you can dress it how you want! Okay, I’m done. Until next time!
